  • Countries: Armenia
  • Green topic: EU Environmental acquis

On 12 December 2025, the EU4Green Recovery East programme hosted a workshop on the revision of the Republic of Armenia’s Law on Atmospheric Air Protection. The event brought together representatives from the Ministry of Environment (including its Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center), Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, Ministry of Health, Yerevan Municipality, and the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of Armenia.

The workshop focused on the findings of a gap assessment of Armenian air protection legislation in light of the EU Air Quality Directive (2024/2991) and EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) requirements. Participants discussed key gaps and reached agreement on the revisions needed to align Armenia’s air quality legislation with EU standards.
